Living the Mission

In efforts to live our corporate “Double Bottom Line”-driven philanthropic mission, FedBid is committed to finding better ways to build better futures, inside our walls, in our neighboring communities and far beyond. Wherever our contributions can have an impact, we seek opportunities to practice responsible corporate citizenship.

FedBid Bridges is the umbrella program for our corporate volunteering program.
This comprehensive extension of our Corporate Citizenship Committee offers full-time FedBid employees the unique opportunity to trade office hours for volunteer hours with a wide range of local and national charities.

In just a few weeks our team has cleaned up Mason District Park, supported kitchens for the homeless (Martha’s Table and S.O.M.E.), and written letters of comfort and support to breast cancer patients and our nation’s troops.

Opportunity Youth

This year, FedBid has begun partnering with Year Up in their mission to close the opportunity divide between talented urban youth seeking to reach their potential and organizations seeking dynamic young minds. A recent 60 Minutes segment reporting on the program emphasized the upward mobility created by its mission to elevate young adults above barriers such as poverty and crime to careers where they can achieve everything they are capable of. Our high-energy, high-opportunity environment presents a challenging and rewarding internship experience for Year Up students, and those same students will leave a lasting positive impact on FedBid as we further our goal of ‘doing well, by doing good’.
