Mississippi Selects FedBid To Provide Innovative Acquisition Marketplace
VIENNA, VA – June 7, 2018 - FedBid, Inc., a division of Compusearch Software Systems, Inc., announced today that its industry leading, cloud based, reverse auction solution has been selected by the Department of Information Technology Services for the State of Mississippi. The award is a result of the Mississippi RFP 4029 for Reverse Auction and Electronic Bidding Services competition. FedBid also received the right to provide Electronic Bidding Services, which was awarded in late CY2017. This two-year contract is the first of its kind in the state and will allow public entities to utilize reverse auctions as a part of their procurement process.
FedBid’s user-friendly marketplace, expert sourcing assistance, and quality assurance help drive greater efficiency in the acquisition process, reducing time spent on procurement actions. Mississippi purchasing agents will be able to use this pre-established contract to begin acquiring goods and services through FedBid’s marketplace. It provides customers with a proven and efficient way to conduct competitive purchasing across a wide range of goods and services categories, such as IT components, furniture, lab equipment, housekeeping services, communication devices and rental of equipment.
“FedBid is excited about the opportunity to partner with Buyers across Mississippi,” said CEO Reid Jackson. “Our customers find that the marketplace serves as a key part of their procurement strategy by simplifying the complex RFQ process, easing regulatory compliance on solicitations and delivering full documentations on all purchasing actions. We also have a dedicated account management and sourcing team working to maximize success on every buy.”
