Driving Innovation and Improving Acquisition the Main Focus at AUSA Global Force
For over 65 years, the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) has been devoted to aiding the men and women who serve our nation in the Army, Reserves, and National Guard as well as civilians, Retirees, Veterans, Wounded Warriors, and their family members. The organization has 119 volunteer-based chapters worldwide that provide assistance and opportunities to Soldiers and the people who support them.
AUSA hosted over 6,000 attendees at the recent Global Force Symposium and Exposition, a three-day conference in Huntsville, Alabama from March 13 – 15. Highlights included presentations from military and industry leaders regarding logistics and acquisitions and an exhibition hall with 200 booths. The theme of this year’s expo was “Delivering Capabilities for Multi-Domain Battle.” As the Army looks ahead to what comes next for the nation’s defense, small and large businesses at the conference were there to demonstrate how they can successfully work with the Army to fulfill these goals.
FedBid had the opportunity to participate in Global Force again this year with our focus on helping the Army achieve their goals, including, contributing to their readiness capabilities and making it easier for leaders in the industry and acquisition communities to assist in fulfilling the Army’s mission. FedBid was able to engage with key Army stakeholders and leadership for more insight on the issues they are facing, which allows us to tailor our innovative acquisition service to their needs. The team was also able to network with many of the industry representatives at the expo who are registered as Sellers on FedBid’s marketplace and meet new potential strategic partners.
appreciates the many standout events that AUSA hosts, and the valuable
opportunities they present. The next AUSA event will be the Annual Meeting and
Exposition on October 9, 2017 in Washington, DC.
