Buyer Support Specialist

The Buyer Support Specialist (BSS) provides basic support to FedBid Account Operations and its clients. Buyer Support Specialist handles all Seller questions and comments that are submitted through FedBid and decides how to respond. Buyer Support Specialists handle incoming correspondence from Buyers who need assistance using the system, including posting, reposting, extending and cancelling Buys. The position requires direct communication by phone and by email with customers from a wide range of accounts and on a variety of issues. The Buyer Support Specialist will follow up on time-sensitive requests from Buyers and Account Operations to better serve our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Process buyer- related requests
  • Prepare correspondence and fulfills buyer needs to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide assistance to the direct support team to post buys or resolve requests regarding buy specifications, validate bid responses or any other buy- related issues
  • Perform other account management- related duties as directed by their supervisor and senior management
