Client Services Representative

Responsibilities:

The Client Services Representative serves as liaison between FedBid and the customer base through effective problem solving via phone and email communication. Additionally, the CSR will review the validity of submitted bids and recommend solutions where necessary. The CSR will initiate and/or implement corrective actions as needed in order to ensure high standards of service, and a high level of customer satisfaction. The CSR candidate will also cross-train within another arm of the Client Services department, Buyer Support, and provide additional coverage and support during periods of high-volume. In addition, they will work with both the Client Services Supervisor and Client Services Director to complete various projects in order to improve the effectiveness of FedBid’s Market Operations, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in delivering customer service in a high-volume environment
  • Strong work ethic, including high initiative and self-motivation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and multi-task, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience working with a multi-line telephone system
  • Functional computer skills—MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Previous experience using a CRM system preferred.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with government contracts, acquisitions or purchasing

Education:

High school diploma required, some college coursework preferred
