Quality Assurance Specialist
The Market Operations Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) enforces FedBid quality assurance practices specifically related to Seller performance in order to meet goals set forth by company management. The QAS is directly responsible for identifying credit risks and establishing plans of action to minimize loss of revenue due to substandard Seller performance and non-compliance. The QAS actively validates the results of FedBid Buys in order to identify and remove non-compliant offers. The QAS investigates Seller Bid and delivery issues while coordinating with their supervisor, the Director of Client Services, Market Ops VP and General Counsel to review facts, document findings and reach decisions on disciplinary action, up to and including account suspension. Additionally, the position works on special projects relating to FedBid’s Seller community and Market Ops.
Responsibilities
- Review and validate Bids posted on FedBid for quality and completion
- Interface with Sellers to obtain information pertinent to the success of the Buy
- Develop and manage methods of tracking the successful completion of Buys
- Administer disciplinary action in cases of user misconduct
Requirements:
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Close attention to detail
- Ability to gain industry knowledge quickly and apply to work
- Ability to communicate Terms of Use and enforce disciplinary action against Sellers
- Strong work ethic, including high initiative and self-motivation
- Familiarity with government order process
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well within a team environment
- Basic computer proficiency—MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Business, Marketing or related area
