OFPP Encourages Increased Competition
On July 18, 2008, OFPP Administrator, Paul A. Denett, issued a memo encouraging agencies “to do more to promote the appropriate use of tools and effective practices to improve and increase the use of competition.” The memo provides examples of competition best practices, including reverse auctions, and requests specific feedback in year end reports.
