January 21, 2010

Vienna, Virginia, January 21, 2010 — FedBid, Inc., The Buyer-Driven Online Marketplace® for commodity buys, today announced that it has named Glenn Richardson as President. Richardson, a former partner at Deloitte LLP and Arthur Andersen, will be responsible for managing and expanding the company’s public sector operations, including its work with federal civilian and military agencies, state and local governments, higher education institutions, and other public sector entities.

“Glenn will be a tremendous addition to the FedBid organization, and we are excited to have his experience, vision, and leadership to help us take the company to the next level,” said FedBid CEO Ali Saadat. “Glenn’s experience mirrors FedBid’s business strategy, as he has successfully bridged and strengthened both government and private sector organizations throughout his career. I am delighted that Glenn will be leading our public policy operations and bringing his powerful focus on client service and partner success to our outstanding team. In addition, his presence will allow me to focus on expanding our position in the commercial market sector.”

Prior to accepting this position at FedBid, Richardson was a consultant for the company, assisting with strategic planning, improving the company’s client management, and strengthening its operations. He was formerly a partner in the federal practice of Deloitte LLP, a partner with Arthur Andersen, and a managing associate with Coopers & Lybrand, all of which followed an accomplished 15-year military career.

“After six months of working with FedBid, I’ve gotten to know its people, its operations, its technology, and its clients, and there’s no doubt this company is uniquely positioned to transform the way that government procurement works,” said Richardson. “FedBid saves money for taxpayers, improves transparency and efficiency for buyers, and gives small sellers access to the world’s largest federal marketplace. In short, we help our partners do their jobs better, and I’m excited about our opportunities for continued growth and success as we move forward.”

Richardson has more than 25 years of experience working with various government agencies and corporate sector businesses. His areas of expertise include strategic and business planning, financial management, information technology resource planning and strategy, business process advice, human resources management, and change enablement. He has assisted organizations in making critical decisions regarding strategy, leadership, transformation, training and development, internal processes, policy development and implementation, and market penetration and growth.

His military career included assignments in the US Army Special Operations Command; US Army, Europe; US Army Intelligence and Security Command; Operation Desert Storm; and The Joint Staff. Richardson holds a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the US Naval War College, a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Syracuse University, and undergraduate degrees in Business Management and Economics from North Carolina State University.
