FedBid Answers the Call to Support Military Children
Washington, DC —Last night, FedBid, Inc., owner of the online marketplace www.FedBid.com, amped-up its support for the children of America’s military service members at the ninth annual Washington Capitals’ Military Appreciation Night by highlighting the critical efforts of the Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC).
As one of Military Appreciation Night’s key sponsors, FedBid donated thousands of tickets to military personnel last night and will continue to do so throughout the season. FedBid’s sponsorship also provided a number of high profile promotional opportunities for MCEC officials and benefactors to raise awareness among the thousands of military families in attendance.
“We are proud to support this powerful night honoring the important sacrifices of the men and women serving in our nation’s Armed Forces,” said Ali Saadat, CEO of FedBid. “We appreciate this opportunity to offer our continued support for the important work of the Military Child Education Coalition, an organization whose programs have proven to pave the way for the success of America’s youngest home front heroes.”
For the past six years, FedBid, a multi-billion dollar online marketplace for government and commercial buyers and qualified sellers, has proudly sponsored MCEC’s efforts to ensure quality education opportunities for all military-connected children affected by mobility, family separation, and transition. Through a wide array of research, educational materials and training programs, including the Student to Student (S2S), Junior Student to Student (JS2S), and Tell me a Story peer support initiatives, MCEC empowers military children (ages 5-17, pre-K through grade 12) with the confidence and skills they crave so they’re ready and able to take advantage of opportunities to learn, connect, and ultimately, succeed.
“The Military Child Education Coalition is honored to participate in the Washington Capitals’ Military Night. We commend FedBid for honoring and recognizing our military-connected children. Year after year, FedBid continues to help us increase awareness about the unique experiences military-connected children face as a result of mobility, family separation and transition. The partnership between FedBid and the Military Child Education Coalition is making a real difference for supporting children with parents serving our Nation,” said Dr. Mary M. Keller, President and CEO of the Military Child Education Coalition.
