Marketing Manager
The Marketing Manager will work closely with the head of Communications and resources designated by the head of Communications to develop and implement marketing and communications strategies and tactics that will increase brand awareness, generate sales leads and improve customer relations. As a member of the Communications team, the Marketing Manager will be primarily responsible for designing, producing, implementing, managing and reporting on marketing and communications programs, as approved and directed by the head of Communications. The Marketing Manager must have a positive attitude and great inter-personal skills as well as the drive and flexibility to be able to handle the demands of a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial company.
Responsibilities:
Establish excellent working relationships with other individuals, groups and departments, including Communications and Public Relations, Sales, Business Development, Market Operations, Product Development, Research and Development and Human Resources
Quickly learn and be able to effectively communicate as subject matter expert company history, strategy, product and service capabilities and value propositions, and technical and operational details
Research and recommend appropriate marketing, branding and other creative projects, including web-based advertising, social media, trade shows, etc.
Contribute to strategic marketing plans, including describing specific tactics, timelines, and budgeting to meet strategic communications goals
Leverage and communicate subject matter expertise via web-based and traditional media by writing compelling ad, website and article content for publication
Assist with digital design direction and manage and develop new web content
Monitor blogs, chat rooms, and other web-based communications regarding the company or company-related topics and manage and develop appropriate responses as necessary
Produce highest quality marketing collateral, including print publications, video, and other electronic communications
Schedule and manage company participation at various trade shows, including booth design and production, booth setup, staffing and operation, speaking / panel opportunities and content, giveaways
Manage designated internal resources and external vendors throughout the project process
Must be able to furnish five writing samples from each of these categories: press release, newsletter, article, advertisement and research paper. Sample entries from blogs are not a required submission, but are strongly encouraged
Experience:
3 - 5 years of experience with web-based marketing and social media, including Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr, Hi5, etc.
Demonstrated experience in project and creative management
Experience working with executive management
Published web and print content, including advertisements and articles
Desktop publishing and/or web editing software experience
Preferred Experience:
Advertising or Public Relations agency experience
Trade show experience

Excellent organizational and management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide presentations to high level company and customer management and engage in other public speaking activities

Excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team environment
The ability to travel
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in English, Marketing, Communications or related fields
